Slug Stage

Thamesmead Festival

August 2027

The Worms in Suits are a self-named group of fifteen young artists from Re-Instate (a Bexley-based charity empowering people with Learning Disabilities and Autism) who are working with artist and musician, Rosie Ridgway, to design, programme, build and their own stage. Slug Stage is part of the Thamesmead Festival supported by local arts organisation, Three Rivers.

Together they have created an alternative universe, one in which Thamesmead is under attack from a race of giant space slugs from Saturn. Luckily, The Worms in Suits have teamed up with inclusive arts charity Heart n Soul and the legendary Tanum Sound System, to assemble a team of incredible musicians and DJ’s to battle the aliens using the power of music!

The Worms in Suits are artists from ReInstate, Bexley: Khadijah Abdullah, Ryan Alldis, Nathaniel Aremu, Josh Cook, Charlotte Drayner, Mary-Anne Fasaye, Anne Denise Gurney, Bhavina Mistry, Samuel Morounmubo, Samuel O’Halloran, Osio Orororo, Jill Preston, Jonathon Stevens, Lucas West,Marcus Teacy, George Onah
